The week builds to Shabbat. Not solely a rest, but a refreshing. A weekly renewal. It’s not a burden, but the blessed gift that says you are free. Sit. Be still. Enjoy family, friends, and even enemies. Lay the unfinished aside, and rejoice in the One who said, “It is finished!” Shabbat shalom!

When the Lord says to “cast all your concerns upon him, for he cares for you,” the text does not imply that He needs your hand to steady the load. Let go (I Pet. 5:7).
