Sometimes, it is not knowing if that really comes from the Lord or not. More prayer and scriptural confirmation and wise counsels from trusted friends should help. Q: Is it consistent with my general calling from Him? Will it likely contribute to some common good? Will it likely glorify Him afterward? Will it stretch my faith in Him, or promote spiritual growth in me? Is it something that I cannot do without Him? I think a yes answer to these would definitely help. Your advice? –Pete
