Guarding the heart

There is an old rabbinic proverb that says, ‘Words spoken from the heart, enter the heart.’ Which is why it is important for us to guard our hearts against bitterness, anger and judgment; in so doing, we not only protect our own well-being, but also the well-being of others (Lk. 6:45).
